Enjoy the warm hospitality at Kalimna Woods Cottages in the Gippsland Lakes region of Victoria just on the outskirts of popular Lakes Entrance. We offer private, fully self-contained cottages where you can relax and unwind in your own space in a natural rainforest setting, whilst knowing the beach is just a few minutes away.
Listen to the sounds of the Kookaburras laughing and visit the 90 mile beach close by. Best of all, this tourist spot in Kalimna is located near the Lakes Entrance area.
“Visited Kalimna Woods Cottages early February for two nights. Loved the rustic cottages, comfortable, well appointed, quiet, and private. Bed was super comfortable and the fire was great. Our first night there was really cold even though it’s mid-summer. Close to Lakes Entrance, beaches and good restaurants, freshest of seafood straight of the wharf. Loved our stay.”

“Awesome experience .. The cottages are set in quiet bushland just minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Lakes Entrance. Cottages are dotted throughout the property away from each other – very private and clean. The POSSUM feeding was AWESOME … !”

Cruising Lakes Entrance
Originally built in 1974 as a Sorrento-Queenscliffe ferry she was decommissioned and moved to Lakes as a commercial fishing boat in 1980. She then moved up to Darwin as a dive boat – or that was the plan. She actually became a drug and gun runner until the law caught up with her. Ian and Tony found her rotting in Cairns and brought her back home to rebuild her into the wonderful charter boat she is today.
